About Anna

Anna Simpson grew up in Colorado where she began studying piano at the age of five. After graduating from high school, Anna studied piano with Dr. Richard Anderson and Dr. Stephen Beus at Brigham Young University and graduated from there with a Bachelor of Music degree and a Master of Music degree both in Piano Performance in 2016 and 2018, respectively. While at BYU, she accompanied vocalists, instrumentalists, and the BYU Women’s Chorus, and she also enjoyed serving in the presidency of the BYU chapter of the Music Teachers National Association. In this function, she presented research at the MTNA National Collegiate Piano Pedagogy Symposium held in Florida in 2017 and in Texas in 2018. As a graduate student at BYU, Anna also taught group piano classes and private lessons through the university. Anna has taught piano lessons for over 17 years and enjoys teaching students of all ages and abilities. She loves music and is passionate about sharing that love with others through teaching.
